Mill Falls, Collooney, Sligo

I had a spare few minutes yesterday on the way home after calling to see my mum so I took a detour and ended up at Mill Falls in Collooney. There is a housing estate there now but at the back of the estate is the river. I had heard there was a disused mill there (which I would love to explore). What I wasn’t expecting was the water fall though (I suppose the word falls should have given it away!).

I walked alongside the river, it’s amazing the force of the water. As someone on Flickr said it’s like Sligo’s Niagra Falls 😉
