Cooking and car boot sales

Chocolate and cream cake, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.

Over the last few days I appear to have turned into Nigella Lawson. First I made a sponge cake with jam and cream, then I made a banana and pecan cake. Followed by a paella.
The next day I made chicken curry and today I made the chocolate and cream cake pictured above…..I’m quite worried about myself, next thing I’ll be cleaning ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today we took loads of our things to the car boot sale. It was poor to be honest. About ten stalls which is good for Ireland but no buyers. We are going to try it again next week, so if you want books, cds, dvds, lego etc. at a bargain price come to Collooney ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Thats one thing that I REALLY miss since living in Ireland is a good Car Boot Sale. There just isnt any over here.
I used to love going to Ashely Heath on a Sunday morning.

    1. I love car boot sales, where we lived in the UK we used to spend the weekend going around them. You were always sure that you would find what you were looking for and at a bargain price.

  2. I’ve heard some horror stories from friends about the behaviour of buyers at car boot sales which are really popular over here, I don’t think I would have the courage to do it, but if it ever came to having a car boot sale just for cakes like yours – I’m in the queue!
