Happy Easter

Now I’m not a bit religious (much to the horror of my mother), so it sounds a bit weird saying Happy Easter but I do like the long days, light evenings, new life, all the little lambs bounding around and seeing the trees come back to life, so I’d like to think I’m spiritual….each to their own. The main thing that turned me against religion is that I think it is the major cause of wars in the world. I also find that some church going people I come across are hypocritical, they talk about people and think that a confession will make it all OK.

Anyway I’m ranting again! ….blame it on one too many glasses of wine for dinner.

Can I just mention that I hate Eastenders…..Andy watches it so therefore I have to, but I really don’t like it…..depressing.

There has been a lot of talk today about euthanasia. I would love to be able to make the decision about when I die. I really don’t want to suffer like dad did, there is nothing dignified about that. I know there are people very against it and I know that some people want to make the decision for others which is wrong. In saying that animals aren’t let suffer the way humans are…..so I do think there should be some choice allowed and that if people want to put in writing that if they get to a certain stage where they are suffering and have no quality of life then if they decided to die it should be there right to do so.

This is very deep for me and I wasn’t going to blog about it. I hope I don’t offend anyone and I believe everyone should be able to live the way they want to, so this is just my opinion.
