Easter has arrived….

well it has in our house…Supervalu have a special offer on where if you buy one Easter egg on its own its 3.79…but if you buy three together you get all three for 3.50….no I don’t get it either, but for the sake of research purposes and to check the quality of the eggs I felt I had to buy three…..also I quite like dipping chocolate in my tea…so I’m a happy bunny

Easter eggs

I had a lovely morning this morning, went to visit Karen my flickr friend, got a bit lost on the way because for some strange reason the council don’t find it neccessary to name roads…but I got there in the end. It was nice to have a chat as ‘Val’ and not mum, daughter or anything else.

I was very pleased yesterday because Rick O’Shea answered me on twitter…he’s a dj on 2fm…and then he played The Feeling so that made my day. Talking of The Feeling, here’s a video I took in November when I went to see them in Castlebar….and thats not me screaming like a girl 😉

I spoke to my mum today who said the hospital wanted dad in for dialysis again today, he was only in yesterday…but he has fluid on his lungs and around his heart and they feel extra dialysis might help…but the poor old fella didn’t want to go. So now they are talking about putting him on the machine for six hours instead of four tomorrow…its no life really and dad is not dad anymore. He’s been on dialysis for 6 years now and can’t even walk now, he hardly talks either. Its horrible to see someone suffer. Its a crazy world where they put animals out of their suffering but won’t do the same for people.

Gosh this is a depressing blog 😦

On another note we have been trying the Walkers crisps new flavours….yuck. So far we have tried Fish and chips, builders breakfast and chilli and chocolate. They’ve all ended up in the bin and I am quickly going off crisps which is a good thing 😀

  2. i feel for your dad and your family. i was on dialysis here in tulsa, oklahoma for 5 years. the gracious care he is getting from you and your family is wonderful.

  3. I was very fortunate to have a kidney transplant in September 2005 and all is going well. It is very difficult to see a loved one go through these treatments. May God give you a blessing in each trial.
