St. Patrick’s Day is nearly here again, and there’s plenty happening across County Sligo to celebrate. From colourful parades and live music to family-friendly events and community gatherings, the county always does a great job of marking the day.
Whether you’re planning to head into Sligo town for the main parade or looking for something a little closer to home, there are lots of lovely events taking place around the county. Here are a few highlights happening this St. Patrick’s Day.
The Sligo St. Patrick’s Festival takes place from the 14th – 17th of March, and they have lots of events taking place in Sligo town. You can read all about them here: https://sligostpatricksday.com/
Cullen’s Amusements will be at Thursday 12th – Tuesday 17th March. Cleveragh Road, Sligo (Behind Londis) Find them on Facebook for full details.
Music Generation Sligo will present a special showcase in a fully covered marquee at Queen Maeve’s Square on Monday 16 March, 6–8pm, as part of the Sligo St Patrick’s Festival.
The Parades

The Enniscrone Parade will assemble at the Diamond Coast Hotel from 12.30pm. The Parade starts at 1pm sharp, and will finish at the Fire station.
There will be a Community After Party in the Old Church.

8am Tuesday, 17th March. Kick off your St. Patrick’s Day with a breath of fresh air and a climb up Kings Mountain. Join Northwest Adventure Tours for a morning hike before the parade. Sligo Abbey is hosting a children’s treasure hunt taking place, from 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
