Sligo Markets: When and Where to Shop Local

Markets have always been social spaces. People come to buy produce, but they also come to meet friends, talk to producers, and wander without much purpose for an hour or two. It’s a lovely way to find to not only support local food producers, but also to find something special, a gift, or a piece of art for yourself or for a loved one.

It can be hard finding information about the markets online and although I’ve written several times about the individual markets, I thought it would be handy to have all the information in one place. Days and times can vary during the Winter and over the holidays, so check with the markets directly – I’ve linked their Facebook pages.

Saturday

10am – 12.30pm Beltra Country Market on the N59 Beltra, Sligo. Market is indoors

11.00 am – 1pm the first and third Sunday of the month. Cliffoney Country Market, Village Hall, Cliffoney, County Sligo.Market is indoors.

11am – 4pm. Sligo Indoor Market in The Canopy Shopping Centre, Sligo Town.

The markets are a great way to find things that you might not find elsewhere, from foods to clothes, craft to art, and everything in between. They also make for a great day out and you can enjoy the chats with the stallholders too.

This blog post isn’t sponsored of affilated with any of the markets mentioned. If you like what I do and would like to leave me a tip, I’d be very grateful: https://ko-fi.com/magnumlady
