Nollaig na mBan Events in Sligo: Join the Celebration!

The 6th of January marks Nollaig na mBan — Women’s Christmas, also known as Little Christmas — and it traditionally signals the end of the Christmas season. My good friend, Dr Marion McGarry, has written a beautiful article exploring the origins and customs associated with the day, which you can read here:

I’ve noticed a few lovely events happening in Sligo town to celebrate Nollaig na mBan. While the day has its roots in women’s traditions, some of these events aren’t exclusively for women – everyone is welcome at the Mayor’s Parlour, and also in Osta.
