Each Inis Aran piece begins in their design office in Ennis, County Clare (Inis is the Irish word for Ennis). The creative team develops a mood board, chooses the yarn, and crafts the design. From there, the item passes through 16 pairs of hands before becoming a finished garment.

Hundreds of hours go into each garment, from initial concept and raw material selection to sampling, knitting, and final hand-finishing.
