An evening cafe has recently opened in Sligo town, I think this is a great idea for people who want to meet-up somewhere that isn’t a pub. Oak Moon Cafe is located in the Yeats Memorial Building on Hyde Bridge.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and there’s a selection of books and board games. There’s also an outdoor area and they are dog friendly too.
I was in there recently, and I treated myself to an iced coffee. I noticed there are a selection of cakes available, also cookies and bars, and they serve toasted sandwiches. They’ve recently started to host events too, so keep an eye on their Instagram page to find out more.
Oak Moon Cafe is open Thursday – Saturday 4pm – 9pm.
