It’s the last Sunday of June, and it’s been a busy month, with two birthdays in the family, our wedding anniversary, and lots of other things happening. The weather hasn’t realised that it’s summer though, although we have had some very hot days, and I’ve been out painting the walls on those days, but mostly it’s been raining, or very windy.
I was watching the washing fly around on the rotary clothesline yesterday like a demented fairground ride – at least the clothes dried quickly though! The bin blew over too – that’s when I know it’s really bad.
I haven’t been out exploring this week, and I’ve missed it, but we have our work outing tomorrow, so I’ll get to see somewhere new, and I’ll tell you all about it. I’m also hoping to record a podcast, because it sounds like such a wonderful place.
The project I’m working on is going well. I have a partner in crime for this one, and it’s wonderful because they really urge me on, and they are encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. I really have very little self-confidence, and I need all the pushing I can get. I’ll tell you all about it as soon as I can, it’s all very exciting.
Since getting into podcasting, I’ve now been listening to more of them. I’m totally hooked on The Real Carrie Jade by RTÉ Podcasts, this story is just bizarre, and it’s a true story too. I’d really recommend it, it’s so well produced too, and a credit to the team.

On Friday I decided to hold a #heartofireland day on social media, this was mainly on twitter – I know it’s called X but it’ll always be twitter to me. I did it because the weather has been so lousy and I felt people were quite down, so I shared some of my photos and videos of Ireland and encouraged others to do the same. The hashtag was trending for most of the day, which was brilliant as there were so many other things going on. I get such a buzz from doing days like this, because it’s all voluntary and there’s no budget or team, I also love how people get involved, and make new connections. It’s also lovely to see the gorgeous photos, there’s so much of Ireland that I haven’t seen and so many places that I’d like to see. The reach wasn’t anything like the millions of last year, but this was very spur of the moment.

I think that’s all my news for now, I hope you are all keeping well, and thank you for reading.
