Eternal – Elphin

Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you’ve known them for ages? Well that’s how I felt when I walked in to The Eternal Gift Shop in Elphin, Co. Roscommon. Mary runs this beautiful shop, and what a wonderful lady she is. The warmest of people, who will chat away to you and recommend a gift for a loved one, or something perfect for your home.

The shop is beautiful, the exterior has lovely blue tiles and the window display is full of Autumnal delights. When you walk inside it’s like walking into a treasure chest. There are so many beautiful things to choose from, and Mary also offers a gift wrapping service.

I was delighted to meet some of Mary’s customers and friends while I was there, and I felt so welcome and really enjoyed the chats. Mary was telling me that her late mother Mai used to run a grocery shop on the premises, when Mai decided to retire Mary decided to take a complete change of career and started the gift shop.

Eternal came about as a consequence of my love and appreciation of beautiful things – “I don’t love it because I sell it, I sell it because I love it“.

Mary – Eternal

Mary specialises in a personal service and she dedicates the same care and attention to her online shop, so even if you aren’t near Elphin, you can shop from the comfort of your home, and international delivery is available. Although I’d highly recommend that you do call in, because Mary is one of those special people that you find once in a while, and it was a pleasure to meet her.

Happy shopping: https://eternalgifts.ie/
