I have to tell you about the wonderful Castlemine Farm Shop in Roscommon town. I called in at the weekend and it’s a real treasure trove of fantastic food and gifts. The shop has an extensive butcher counter and the staff are friendly and helpful. They sell a wide range of products from their farm, which is only 5 miles away – a perfect example of sustainability.
The farm shop also has a wide variety of products from other Irish food and drink producers. I was very impressed by the range and also the value. I bought chicken, potato gratin and brown soda bread, all were delicious and I will certainly call back again next time I’m in Roscommon.
