The Winter Windows

If you are looking for a magical experience you need to head to Manorhamilton in Co. Leitrim. Take a walk along Main Street and look in the windows. In two of the former shops, McMorrow’s Butchers and TA Goldens, you will see something very special.

The windows of TA Goldens contains a magical forest, including needlefelt creatures and more. McMorrow’s has a miniature Manorhamilton, the buildings were created out of balsa wood and are based on some well known buildings in the town.

I’d recommend you pay a visit when it’s dark and the windows are aglow with tiny fairy lights. It really is something special. If you can get to visit, have a look at the video:

This project was produced by The Rabbit’s Riot Theatre group along with the women’s group, An Coiníní. It was funded by Creative Irleland & Leitrim County Council. The Winter Windows will be up over Christmas and into the New Year on Main Street, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim.
