I was up bright and early this morning as restrictions eased and we were able to travel outside our counties in Ireland. I was longing to visit Derreen Woods in Roscommon, it’s the most amazing place to see bluebells and I missed going there last year with the restrictions.

It was such a gorgeous morning, I was the only one in the forest, apart from the birds, and the lambs in the field next door.

I have a friend who lives nearby and she invited me over for tea, we can now spend time with people outdoors and it was just so lovely to sit and chat. I had a wonderful morning and she lives in such a beautiful area.

It was such a joy to be able to spend the morning like this, so relaxing and almost like normality again.
I’ve done another sound and vision video so that you get to enjoy the soundtrack of the woods as well as the photos. It’s only a shame that you can’t smell the beautiful bluebells.
