I’m writing this blog as an appeal. My friend’s 14 year old son Oisin is honoured to be invited to attend the 2017 World Games as part of the Irish Team.
Oisín, who lives in South Dublin, is a wheelchair user and plays wheelchair basketball and is also an accomplished sailor.
Oisín is fundraising to get himself to the games as not only does he have to pay for himself and his accommodation he also has to make a contribution to the cost of the staff from the Irish Wheelchair Association who are travelling with the team.
He needs specialised equipment including two pairs of track chair gloves (he has just outgrown the pair he has). He also has to pay for travel insurance and a personal care assistant to travel with him.
If you would like to donate to this wonderful cause to help Oisin’s dream of being part of the Irish Team come true you can do so here.
