Volunteering is fun

I’ve had some spare time recently so I thought I’d try volunteering. We are very lucky to have a volunteer centre here in Sligo and there are so many organisations and charities looking for volunteers for all kinds of things.

It’s lovely to be able to give something back to the community and it also gets me meeting new people and gives me something positive to do with my time. It’s amazing how many opportunities are out there. From helping with meals on wheels, to visiting care homes with your dog. From arts, crafts and music to sport and many more too numerous to mention.

If you have a couple of hours to spare each week or maybe just occasionally have spare time I would really recommend getting in touch with the Sligo Volunteer Centre. They may have just the thing you are interested in helping with.
