It’s been a busy week so not much time for blogging. It was Lucy’s 17th birthday on Wednesday. Where do the years go? She had a half day from her course so we went for lunch and got our nails done. It’s the first time I’ve ever had my nails done.
I made Lucy’s cake, it was a bit of a fail. I was going to make a Hunger Games cake but I couldn’t get the mockingjay right. So it’s a bit of everything. The figure on the left is meant to be a doctor because she loves Grey’s Anatomy. The candles are pretty cool I found them in ‘Stock’ which is a shop in Dublin, I got the ribbon from there too.
In the evening we went out for dinner. Which was lovely except for my starter (if you follow me on twitter you’ll know). Lucy’s dessert was amazing and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to her! It was great.
So I suppose the next thing now is that she’ll be learning to drive. Seventeen years have gone in the blink of an eye.
