T.G.I. Fridays

When we were in Dublin we decided to have lunch/dinner in T. G. I. Friday’s in St. Stephens Green. We looked at the website and it looked great. We were really disappointed though. We were waiting ages to be served, some people got so fed up of waiting they left. It wasn’t even very busy in there.

Eventually we got served. The hot dog above was Jono’s. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t serve this to anyone. If it hadn’t taken so long for it to arrive I would have sent it back.

This was Lucy’s starter. They were very greasy and didn’t come with the dip that they were meant to.

My dinner was OK…..nothing special though.

Lucy had an ice cream sundae for dessert. It really was nothing like the description. There was fudge sauce but it wasn’t hot. The ice cream tasted cheap and horror of horror’s no cherry on top!

On a positive note the drinks were nice. I wasn’t going to do a blog about this but I posted the hot dog photo on their Facebook page and got no response. Also there is no email address for them on their website. Next time we are in Dublin we will eat elsewhere.

  1. I’m glad you posted this, I’ve been thinking about going to TGI Friday’s for a while – have only heard bad reviews of the place in the past, but was thinking maybe it’d be different now, I guess not! I’m sorry your meal was so bad 😦

  2. I’ve eaten in 3 different TGI Fridays. London, Cardiff and Dublin (Blackrock) and I’ve been disappointed each time. Expensive mediocre and often tastless food. Sorry you had a similar experience.

  3. That meal looks horrible! TGI Friday’s in the US is pretty good compared to TGI Friday’s here, which is a shame. I hope you get some response from them – having to pay for a meal that poor is a shame.

  4. thanks for posting V…its important to give honest feedback about places and for us to realise how much of a say we have when we open our wallets. Makes me think of one of my favourite quotes:

Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want ~ Anna Lappe
