Well it’s that day again. Aparently if it rains on St. Swithin’s Day it’ll rain for the next 40 days! Wonderful as if we don’t get enough rain.
Yesterday there were several thunder storms, today it rained most of the day.
I was thinking today, it was 21 years ago that Andy and I were in a car crash. We had only been going out together for a week and we went to Brighton for the day with our friends.
We got the train back to Luton and I was driving Andy home from the station, when this idiot of a drunk driver came around the bend on our side of the road.
My car that was only 3 years old got written off and the seat belts bruised us quite badly.
We were taken to hospital for a check up and both ended up off work for a week. Luckily my dad made me start driving again as soon as I was well enough, otherwise I think I would have lost my nerve.
The idiot driver got off with it…..typical.

whats a bit of rain!!
Especially after reading what happened all those years ago. My hubby was also involved in a really bad road crash when he was younger – and the memory of it never leaves you does it.
Ours wasn’t too bad thankfully. I think someone was looking out for us that night. It took me a long time to get my confidence back though.
Horrible thing to happen but what a lucky escape for you.
It hadn’t rained here in Dublin yesterday or today and I had just convinced myself that we lived in a little pocket that would be protected from the St Swithin’s curse.
