April

April, originally uploaded by magnum_lady.

Trying to get back to normal…whatever that is. It’s nice to see the light evenings.

Jono hasn’t been well for a while so I took him to the doctors today and he has a chest infection and is on antibiotics.

I called into see mum, she seems to be doing OK. She wanted to know if I thought it would be alright if she did some gardening, she is worried about what people will think. I told her to do whatever she felt like doing. She has been unable to do anything for such a long time that she has to do what she wants to do now. I really couldn’t care less what people think. After all mum was the one who had to put her life on hold to look after dad and now it’s her time.

  1. I think its good that she feels like gardening – at times like this it is so easy to dwell on the emotions that wander in and out of our days.

You will all feel better given time…..

    Peace and love

  2. When we lost a close family friend two year ago I found gardening incredibly therapeutic, and it’s not something I would usually do. And if your mum plants things now it will be lovely to see them grow next year when the first anniversary comes round.

  3. Good for your Mom for wanting to do something other than dwell on the hardships and illness that has consumed her of late, and good for you for encouraging her to do what she feels. I hope your Jono feels better soon. We have a grandson with Asperger’s Syndrome, as well. He’s both a joy and a challenge, at times, but we love him dearly.

    Best Wishes,
    Kay
