After the snow yesterday I wondered what the roads would be like today…..they were bad, it had rained last night and then froze so it was like an ice skating rink this morning. I was listening to the local radio station and inbetween the bingo and the death notices(!) they said the road from the village was really bad and quite a lot of the schools were closed….not our one though. As Jono isn’t in until Thursday I decided to bring Lucy in a bit later…..I hate driving in the ice especially with the muppets on the road that never seem to take road conditions into account and overtake (or pass out as they say here!) at high speed.
My mum wasn’t too pleased because I usually take her shopping on a Monday, but as I’m not God and have no control over the weather there’s not much I can do about that.
I was listening to my mp3’s in the car today. I wonder what would happen if someone analysed it….I’d probably be locked up! I have “Blue Oyster Cult – Don’t Fear the Reaper”, “Dio – Dream Evil”, “Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag”…to name but a few and then of course I have Miley Cyrus and “They Might be Giants – Birdhouse in your Soul”….I’m normal really 😉
On the way home from the school run I noticed this poster and had to stop and take a photo….its probably the only Valentine card I’ll get…awww poor me 😦
