Favourite Places in Sligo for a Sandwich – As Recommended by The Blog Readers

I asked my blog readers and social media followers about their favourite places in Sligo for sandwiches, and I got some wonderful suggestions. I did ask for people not to suggest a place that they are affiliated with, but I have no way of checking, so keep this in mind. There are some great suggestions though. Happy reading. The photo above is the sandwich from Pink Clover in Drumcliffe.

Monica: The Little Cottage Cafe in Rosses Point – Toasted sandwiches or open sandwiches with chicken or smoked salmon or goat’s cheese or beef. I’ve never been disappointed.

Cynthia:”Pink Clover is my favorite place for sandwiches in the whole world. I bring everyone there when they come visit me from the US! My nephew who has eaten at 50 Michelin Star restaurants says it’s the best sandwich bread he has ever had.”

Oscar: O’Hehirs in Sligo town do a good one, and The Little Cottage in Rosses Point.

Cathy: Kimchi toast in Tempo, Ballisodare.

Easkey Enhancement: “Pudding Row the Grocer their pear cheese and bacon on bread made in their bakery, eaten with a coffee sat on a bench overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Easkey…. Heaven!!”

Lisa: The Naanwich from Nook in Collooney.

Emer: Got a delicious gluten free BLT with Ballymaloe relish at the Airport Cafe at Strandhill airport.

Fiona: Pink Clover – their rosemary focaccia bread is so light (& still very fresh at home the next day!)

Camilla: Lyons café…their Lebanese chicken sandwich is divine.

Ursula: Nook in Collooney.

Gina: Koha Street Kitchen, Tosta, or Cafe Victor. All in Sligo town.

Kelly – Tosta Cheese, Spinach and Ballymaloe relish it was so tasty, and himself loves the pulled pork toastie.

Rachel: Love the sandwiches from Lyons, freshly made, ready to go from fridge and good value too!

Gerard: No photo but my sandwich and soup today in Osta at The Model, Sligo would be very hard to beat!!

Hana loves the pork toastie from Tosta, and the Bagels with any of the fillings in Pudding Row, Easkey.

Daniel had the steak sandwich in Honestly, Strandhill and said it was absolutely amazing.

The Cake Lady recommends the chicken, cheese and mango chutney sandwich in Pink Clover, she said it’s delicious. She also loves the falafel wrap from Kate’s Kitchen.

Amanda loves the chicken and stuffing sandwich in Blend Cafe.

Tina said Koha Street Kitchen is the best place for a toastie.

Thanks so much to everyone who told me their suggestions, much appreciated.
