I put a call out on my social media challenge for Sligo food establishments to let me know their food news. This time no one contacted me, even though it’s a free service, so I’ve just added some things of interest that I’ve seen myself.

First up, there’s a new café in Sligo town – The Brasserie opened last month in The Canopy, Sligo, and you can read my blog post here.

Walker 1781’s, O’Connell Street, Sligo’s kitchen is closed from the 3rd November, and will reopen on the 10th.
The Strand Bar in Strandhill will be closed from 3rd – 26th November. Stoked will be closed from the 3rd to 27th November.

Yeats County Inn in Curry have some new additions to their extensive breakfast menu. I went on Saturday and treated myself to the chocolate and banana French toast. It was amazing, and I loved that it came with tea or coffee too. The menus above are served 8am to 12 Noon Saturday and Sunday.

Cawley’s in Tubbercurry Annual ‘Brown Bread & Jam Club’ is back on Saturday 8th November – a night you won’t want to miss! Walk ins are very welcome.

Pasta Fresca is hosting a pasta making workshop on Sunday, 16th of November at 2.30pm. The workshop will take place in our shop at 23 Grattan St, Sligo from 2.30pm and lasts approx. 2 – 2.5 hrs.
