I’m always excited to find out what The Glasshouse have up their sleeves. The food there is amazing, and when they announce a theme night, I know it’s going to be incredible. Following on from their Curry night, and the North Carolina BBQ night, is the Mexican Fiesta night, and it’s amazing!

I was delighted to be invited along to try it for myself, and let me tell you – if you love Mexican food you are in for a treat! Even the table will get you in the spirit, each one had maracas, and decorations.

We were welcomed by Kara and Katie, and shown to our table, overlooking the Garavogue River. Kara recently won the Best Front of House Manager in Connacht, in the YES Chef Awards, so you know you will be well looked after.

The Mexican Platter is:
- Yucatán Cochinita Pibil Pork – Shredded Shoulder of Pork in Banana Leaf Parcel
- Oaxaca Chicken Thighs in Mole Sauce
- Baja Shrimp Crispy Taco
- Spicy Sausage & Black Bean Stew

All the Above Dishes are accompanied with:
- Mini Corn Tortilla
- Hand Chopped Guacamole
- Tomato & Cucumber Salad
- Pico de Gallo Salsa
And the meal is finished with a sweet treat – it was a refreshing sorbet in Tequila when we were there.

The Mexican Platter costs €50 for two people, and is served with a cool beer, and a sweet treat . It’s running on Thursday nights, for a limited time only. To book your place, contact Emma in Events – 071 9194300 or email events@theglasshouse.ie
Thanks so much to The Glasshouse for inviting us along, we had a wonderful time, and we’d highly recommend it.
