A quick blog post today, as I sit waiting for a flight back to Ireland.
We took a quick trip to Birmingham for the Model World event at the NEC. It’s Jono’s first trip since 2018, and it’s been a great experience. Ireland West airport is great to fly from. I’ll tell you more about it in another blog post.
It’s been a quiet enough week, apart from the weekend. The most annoying thing was the Kofi/PayPal issue. You’d have seen that if you follow me on social media.
Basically a blog reader left a tip of €1, they forgot they did it and flagged it with their bank. They retracted the flag, but PayPal sided with them, and it was impossible to get an answer. To cut a long story short PayPal hit me with a €16 chargeback.
I’m very grateful to Kate, Emer, Eris and Ruby, who left tips to cover the chargeback. I hate PayPal though. They always side with the person who made the payment.
Anyway, I could have done without the hassle. I think I’ll close the Kofi page, I’m really worried about this happening again. It just shows that anyone can say they didn’t leave a payment and I’d get ‘fined’ again.
I have to have a 24 hour blood pressure monitor tomorrow. I hate them! Wish me luck! I’m not on any regular medication and I wouldn’t like to start now, but if I need it, I need it.
I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. Thanks for reading.
