The Mill Apartments Revisited – Again

It’s over a year ago since I wrote this post about The Mill Apartments, Ballisodare, Sligo. Since then there was mention of the apartments on local media outlets, and there was metal sheeting put up to stop people getting in. This was my original post in 2011 – the apartments were derelict then, and had been vandalised.

It’s seems crazy to me that 14 years later the apartments are still there, still smashed to bits, and nothing seems to be happening with them.

I was at the falls last week and I thought I’d do a video to show the beautiful view of the falls, and the view you get if you look behind you. I see the metal sheeting is hanging off too, this might have been due to the storm, but I do wonder if anyone is keeping an eye on this place, or if it’s just going to be left like this.

I’ve heard the building has been condemned, but I don’t know the full story. It’s an eyesore though, and in such a scenic place. Hopefully something will be done and I won’t have to highlight it again.
