Ripples at The Riverside Hotel, Sligo, are now serving Açaí bowls

Açaí bowls are my favourite breakfast, and it’s great to see them available in Sligo. The kind people at Ripples at The Riverside Hotel, kindly invited me to try one, because I mentioned them in my Sligo Food News blog post.

Firstly, Ripples is a gorgeous place. It’s bright and airy, and on a sunny day like today it was like sitting in a conservatory, soaking up the sun. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, and it’s covered, so even if it’s raining and you want to sit outside, it’s all good.

I wrote about Ripples when they first opened in 2022, and you can read about that here. Anyway, back to this morning. I was served by Alex, who is friendly and helpful, and didn’t mind me dandering because I couldn’t decide what toppings to have (I always do that!) The choices are above: I went for a strawberry and banana base, nutty crunch, banana, strawberry and chia seeds, and peanut butter. It’s also great that they are gluten-free.

If you don’t have time to sit in, you can get them to take away, and they serve them for lunch too, if they haven’t sold out.
