It’s been a busy week. I was out with the family last week for an early birthday celebration, and took myself off on my actual birthday, you can read all about it here.
There has been a lot going on this week, and battling the storms. If it wasn’t blowing a gale, it was lashing rain. We were promised a yellow wind and rain warning today, but we’ve had worse days. We lost the power again on Friday, luckily it was mainly during the night. I was dreading six days without electricity again.

I popped in to say hello to Lauren’s Patisserie this week, it’s great to see a new business open in Sligo, and I wrote a blog post, which is proving so popular. There really is such an appetite (pun intended) for food blog posts, and it’s something that I would like to do more of, but it works out expensive after I’ve paid for meals.

Me and Jono went to Foyle Valley Railway Museum yesterday, we were hoping to get to Donegal today, for the Railway Connections event, but with a yellow storm warning we went to Derry yesterday instead. It’s a far old drive, but it’s the first time either of us had been to the museum and we enjoyed our visit. It’s certainly a day of rest today.
Next week is looking calmer, although there’s still a place that I want to try to get to, I’ve had to reschedule a few times as life got in the way, so hopefully next week will be better for me. I’m looking forward to telling you all about it.
Wishing you all a good week ahead, and a special thank you to Oonagh and Brid who left me a tip for coffee and cake 🙂 it’s very much appreciated.
