From Italy to Ireland – In Conversation with Camilla Galbiati – Author and Business Owner

What I love most about having my podcast is the opportunity to talk to people and find out more about their lives. I don’t have any preconceived questions, it’s all very much off the cuff, and I find that the best way to allow the person to tell their story.

Camilla Galbiati has a fascinating story. She moved to Sligo when she was just 22, it was only meant to be for six months, but fate played a part, and she’s still her over ten years later. You can hear Camilla’s full story on the podcast.

We talk about Camilla’s debut novel: Beatrice’s Fate, and how she found the self-publishing journey. Camilla tells me about the people who helped her along the way, and about her business – 2Lang – Italiano and English. Italian and English online tutoring.

Camilla also tells me about some of her favourite places in Sligo, including Gleniff and Streedagh, and some of her favourite food places.

Thanks so much to Camilla for taking part, you can listen to our conversation on the podcast, or you can play it below. I’m now planning a trip to Pangur Bán Bookshop in Ballina, as Camilla spoke so highly of it. Have a listen, and maybe you’ll be inspired too.
