Sunday Thoughts

It’s hard to believe that we are in the middle of November, although if you listen to some radio stations, you’d swear it was Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I like Christmas, but I’d prefer that the songs started in December I get tired of them by the time Christmas comes around when they start so early.

It’s been such a busy week with one thing and another. I was going to stay at home today but there’s bad weather promised next week so I thought I’d better go and stock up on milk, tea bags, etc. Our road can get very icy which makes it difficult to get out, so it’s better to be safe and sorry.

The pic at the top of the blog was taken on Thursday night in Sligo town. Jono went to Clublandia, which is Sligo’s accessible night club, it’s on every few months and he loves it. I was going to go for a coffee – but the café forgot about me, so I ended up wandering around taking pics instead. It was a lovely mild night, so it wasn’t so bad.

The Happy Out book launch is tomorrow, my nerves are starting to ramp up. I wish I didn’t have to do it if I’m honest. I’m grand at promoting the book from behind a computer, but it’s very different in real life. I was asked if I’m doing any Christmas markets and although we really do need to sell the book, it’s way out of my comfort zone and I don’t want to send myself into a spiral.

I have to say I have a new admiration for those who self-publish. What a lot of work it is. Hats off to them, and if you can support them, please do. You can read all about the book here, and you can buy it online here. Check out the five-star reviews we’ve got!! We’re delighted with all the lovely feedback.

We have our work Christmas party next week (hold the snow!) I bought a dress, but I’ve realised I have no shoes – unless you count wellies and walking boots, I went looking today but didn’t see anything suitable. I also went to a car boot sale this morning in the hope I’d see a nice top and I could just wear trousers and boots, but the one stall holder selling clothes was charging so much for secondhand Penneys clothes. I don’t know why people do that. Anyway, I’m sure it’ll be grand.

That really should be my new catchphrase – It’ll be grand! I hope you are all keeping well. Thanks, as always for reading.
