I’ve written about Funké and her amazing restaurant before and you can read that here. This time I want to tell you about her amazing Jollof sauce. This is a gorgeous Afro Caribbean cooking sauce and I used it to make Jollof rice (the instructions are on the jar). It would be wonderful as a base for a stew too.

I was expecting the sauce to be spicy but it isn’t at all spicy, it has a gorgeous smoky flavour and it’s really delicious. I bought mine from Supervalu in Ballisodare, Sligo. It’s also available in other selected Supervalu stores and in some Afro, Asian stores.
