The Gate Lodge recently opened in Doorly Park, Sligo town, it’s a coffee shop and tourist information centre, and it’s great to see this lovely building open to the public. The coffee shop is run by the Cranmore Abbeyquarter Community Centre, and it was lovely to meet Christina and the rest of the staff there. The Gate Lodge was the location for the Local exhibition (which included the Hands of Sligo project).
I called today to check the place out, and it was great to see it busy, with lots of people enjoying coffee and cake, or scones. I treated myself to a coffee and a brownie and both were lovely. The cakes are made locally by Debba Bakes.
