I’m a big fan of From the Ground Up in Tubbercurry, Jenny has gone from strength to strength since she opened as an eco-friendly store, and eventually became the wonderful café that it is today. The great news for those in Charlestown is that Jenny has now opened a new premises there. It’s where Susie’s Bistro was (Susie’s is now in Tubbercurry Golf Club).
I went along recently to wish Jenny well and to have my breakfast, and it’s a lovely place. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the menu is great – something for everyone, including a vegan option. I had the granola bowl and a cappuccino, and both were lovely.
If you don’t have time to stop, you can get something to take away, and I also bought a Buddha Bowl to have for my dinner. It was delicious.
