The Enniskillen International Market returns to Enniskillen Castle, on the shores of the River Erne, from Friday 17 May – Sunday 19 May 2024. Friday and Saturday 10am – 7pm. Sunday 12-6pm.

The historic newly reopened Stella Maris Shore House Hotel in Ballycastle is hosting a fabulous Swiss Evening at the hotel this Friday evening 17th May at 7.00pm. https://www.facebook.com/events/7734572239919869/

Ballinglen has a fabulous exhibition running at the moment. It consists of prints by 20 Japanese and 20 Irish-based artists consisting of a lsumptuous array of visual interpretations of Kwaidan, the well-known book of ghost stories published in 1904 by Patrick Lafcadio Hearn (1850-1904), also known as Koizumi Yakumo. Enjoy a weekly Trad Night in Rouse’s Bar Ballina every Saturday night from 10pm. Rouse’s Bar has been a much-loved Ballina institution since 1947. The premises itself has been a pub since 1865, making it one of the town’s oldest bars.

Sligo Tidy Towns and are putting on a Free Biodiversity walk followed by a fun Workshop at Sligo Woodland School and Sligo Children’s Community Garden. This will be run twice: Thursday 23rd May 10.30-12.30am and repeated on Friday 24th May 3.30-5.30pm.

The Organic Centre is hosting a Scavenger Hunt all week. No booking required.

25th May – Join Kilteevan Tidy Towns to Celebrate National Biodiversity Week. This event will follow the Cloonlarge Loop Trail in Kilteevan which is a gentle 5km loop walk bordering our boglands. Full details here.

African Week takes place from 20th – 24th May 10am – 1pm at the Riverside Hotel, Sligo.

Ocean FM are hosting a screening of IF in aid of the RNLI, which is 200 years old, and also celebrates 30 years of saving lives in Bundoran. Hawk’s Well, Sligo cabaret takes place every Wednesday until August 28th. 1.10 – 1.50pm Cabaret@Lunch; a delightful mixture of comedy, drama, and song. No booking required, free event.

The National Famine Way Commemorative Walk takes place over six days from Monday 20th to Saturday 25 th May 2024. The Commemorative Walk is free, accessible and open to everyone in the six counties it passes through to join in. Starting at the National Famine Museum | Strokestown Park in Roscommon it follows the National Famine Way for 165km to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin’s Docklands.
