A museum with a difference in Enniskillen

Have you ever wanted your hair cut in a museum? This could be your chance! I love experiences that are a little bit different, and there’s a museum in Enniskillen that’s very different, it’s not just a barber shop, it’s also a railway museum!

Headhunters Railway Museum is a hidden gem, in the heart of Enniskillen town. Gordon and Nigel Johnston opened their doors in 1981, and they are not only wonderful barbers, but they also have a treasure trove of memorabilia relating to the now defunct railways, including the Great Northern Railway, The Sligo Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway, and more.

This is a must visit for any railway or history enthusiast, and it’s a credit to the Johnston brothers, don’t take my word for it, call in and see for yourself.

If you don’t need a haircut, you can just visit the museum, it’s open Tue-Sat from 9am to 5pm, with free admission.

Visit their website to find out more.
