It can be very isolating running your own business, especially if it’s just you on your own, it’s hard to know who you can turn to for advice and support, or just for someone to chat to. Luckily for women in Sligo, there is the Sligo Women in Business Network – which is free to join.
I went along to The Model, Sligo, this morning for their monthly meet-up. The focus was on how to Maximise Your Social Media Impact with Debbie Woodward from Logis Media. Debbie is great and is a social media trainer for the Local Enterprise Office Sligo – check them out to find out about the free training. https://www.localenterprise.ie/Sligo/
We also heard from Anne from Horan’s Health Food Store – I’ve previously written about them here. Anne spoke about nutrition and how to get the most from your diet.
Brid from Osta at The Model had lovely treats for us, which was very welcome. It was great to see some familiar faces and also to find out about some businesses that I hadn’t heard about before. A special shout out to Erin, I wrote a blog post about her business before and she came over to say thank you to me, which really meant a lot.
