The Dapper Duck, Gurteen, Sligo

I’d been following The Dapper Duck on Facebook for a long time, and they were on my list for a visit. I finally got there for breakfast and it was wonderful!

The Dapper Duck is a gastro pub on Main Street, Gurteen and I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I love the ducks dotted all over the place (even on the toilet doors). I also love the sound of their food theme nights, live music nights and they are starting a book club on October 3rd too.

Now for the food! I’d seen photos of their milkshakes online, so I treated myself to a Ferrero Rocher milkshake, and it was delicious.

I also had the ‘Posh Toast’. This was French toast smothered in maple syrup and topped with banana and hazelnut (it would usually be pecans but they’d run out). It was gorgeous.

I would highly recommend The Dapper Duck (and for any Pokemon Go players it’s very handy for Pokestops). I’ll certainly be back again.
