The Tubbercurry Forest Trail

If you are looking for a lovely walk in County Sligo, I’d really recommended The Tubbercurry Forest Trail. It’s a lovely gentle walk, on flat ground, a calm oasis, just outside Tubbercurry town centre.

The walk starts alongside the Maiden River, which is a tributary of the River Moy. You’ll walk through the forest including the scenic Spruce corridor and the Oak and Ash Corridor and along Bog Cutters Road and the Rhue Road, you’ll see Rathscanlon Bog and the Ox Mountains.

Keep a look out for Ned and Molly, the lovely friendly donkeys. The trail is also home to a variety of birds and wild flowers.

You’ll find the trail just beside the Homeland Store on the Tubbercurry to Ballina Road.
