Do birds sing in Birmingham?

Last weekend we went to Birmingham. Jono was at a Pokemon convention there so we got to check out some of the sites.

One thing struck me though – I didn’t hear any birds singing. I’m sure they did but I just didn’t hear them. It’s very different here where I get woken up by the dawn chorus every morning. I used to complain about the birds waking me up but I kind of missed them. In Birmingham I got woken up by the dawn chorus of a fella who didn’t get chilli mayo in his kebab! I’d choose the birds any day.
