Slip Sliding Away

Well it was icy again this morning (why does my blog always sound like a weather forecast!)…but I knew if I didn’t go out I would have to face the wrath of  ‘the mother’  (I can hear psycho music!)….and that would be scary!

So Bertie (the car), Lucy and I did the slow slide into school and then I took me mother shopping.

I didn’t get much really. I always go into Zavvi hoping that they will have 50% off but they haven’t. The town was very quiet…its no wonder that shops are closing down…and I didn’t help by not buying anything.

Then we went up to Dunnes and they had some flowers reduced so I treated meself, pic of one below.

There are a couple of things that have been puzzling me over the last few days:

Number 1. Brown/beige cords on men…..why?

Number 2. High heels on men….also why?

Now don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t know fashion if it jumped up and bit me on the arse….but somethings are just wrong and its a bit scary when you see fellas going around wearing higher heels then I do. No offence to any chappy who does wear brown cords or high heels….or both 😉

I had a very near miss on mums drive when I was bringing the shopping in….not with the car with meself…I nearly went arse over tit on the ice. I made Todd Carty look like a fantastic skater.

  1. omg high heels on men- it’s all i can do not to fall down as it is- our driveway was like a ice rink this morning! anyway who are these new trendsetters!
can safely say there are no (fashion) offenders in this house!

  2. Ha! Your car’s called Bertie 🙂

Beautiful flower. I love Dunnes but there isn’t one near me, sadly. Beige cords? Blimey,I hope it’s not a new trend. Still, all new trends never quite reach Cavan so I think I’m safe!!

    1. My old car was called Boris…well actually he was called Boris Eugene Wilson…..just as well this one is only called Bertie 😀

Lucky that beige cords haven’t reached Cavan!
