Sunday Thoughts

This is a Sunday Thoughts with a difference, I’m just back from Manchester, I had to go for a work trip, and Lucy tagged along with me, we got to do lots of things in our spare time, including visiting a pug cafe, afternoon tea in an Alice in Wonderland themed tea room, and more. Listen to the podcast to hear all about it – including the pretty dire hotel. I’ll add some photos of the places that we visited in this post.

Speaking of podcasts, it’s only a week since I released my first episode and I’m on the way to 250 downloads, which I think it’s brilliant, so thanks to everyone who has listened. The things to do in Sligo and beyond is proving to be popular, and I’ve already had emails from people to add things to the next one. So, if you have anything taking place fom 25th in Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, or close by, let me know. I’d prefer free events, or something that isn’t too expensive to attend, and on the note of podcasts, I’d love your opinions.

Back to the Manchester Trip, as I said, all the news is on the podcast, except the flight delay for three hours on the way back. If you are flying from Liverpool, they don’t update the boards, so there were two panicks from me when it said the gate was closed. I haven’t been on a plane in five years, so it’s like started all over again, it was fine though, and I was surprised by how well I did.

I’ll add some of the photos of places we visited here:

Wholesome Junkies – 100% Vegan Junk Food

The Old Fire Station – Bakery and Cafe

Lark Hill Place at Salford Museum

Salford Museum Art Gallery

CuppaPug Pug Cafe in Manchester – there’s one in London too. You can tell that I’m in pug heaven.

The John Rylands Research Institute and Library

The Animaid Cafe

Afflecks – the most amazing shopping experience

Near Sackville Street, Manchester

Richmond Tea Rooms

The Hello Kitty Cafe, in Primark in the Arndale, Manchester – it was closed when we got there sadly.

That’s just some of the places we went to, I hope you like the photos, it was a really lovely trip, and the people in Manchester are very friendly and helpful. It’s very handy flying from Ireland West Airport too.
