The Toastery, Enniskillen

If you are heading to Enniskillen, I’d really recommend The Toastery. It’s been on my list to visit for ages, but they were closed for holidays last time I was there. I finally got there today, and what a lovely place it is.

You can tell that a place is worth visiting when it’s full of locals, and this was just after 8am! It also had a range of ages, and let me tell you, the staff are lovely. I’m always a bit overwhelmed when I go somewhere new. I never know if you sit at the table, order at the till, or what the craic is. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome, and I was told to have a seat, look at the menu, and that I could order at the till.

They have a great menu, there’s something for everyone. From light bites (there were croissants and scones at the counter), to toasties, hence the name. I had the Drumlin Beechwood Smoked Cheddar toastie, and it was delicious! I was a bit gutted that the Festive Toastie is only served from 11.30am, I would totally have ordered that at 8am! I haven’t had a Christmas sandwich yet this year, and I feel like this needs to be resolved soon.

I also had an iced latte, which was gorgeous too. The coffee is organic and fairtrade, and they use local suppliers for the food, including Joe the Baker, and Stewart’s Butchers. The people who served me were very friendly, and there’s such a great vibe about the place. I’d really recommend a visit, but I’d say it could get very busy – like The Bees Knees – I still haven’t managed to get a table there yet.

The Toastery is on Church Street, Enniskillen, just after Blakes of the Hollow. Find them on Facebook here. I paid for my food and drink, in case anyone wonders.
