I was asked on twitter for some dog friendly suggestions, so I put a call out on my social media channels and here are just some of the suggestions. I’ve checked all of these but please phone ahead before you plan your trip, as some that were suggested to me are no longer dog friendly.
Antrim

Fullerton Arms, Ballycastle on the North Antrim Coast. They have recently refurbished dog friendly rooms and also have dog treats available in the bar.
Magherintemple Lodge is located in the beautiful seaside town of Ballycastle on the north Antrim Coast. Irish Landmark Trust Property – welcomes one dog.
The Inn on the Coast, Portrush. This place has been dog friendly since they opened in 2012. They have 10 pet friendly rooms and are very accommodating.
Clare
Ceol na dTonnta pet-friendly bed and breakfast located on the Wild Atlantic Way overlooking the village of Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Aran Islands

Cork

Derry
The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine. They also have a list of dog friendly walks on their website.
Brick and Feather Coffee Shop. A dog friendly cafe in the heart of the city.
Donegal
Atlantic Apartotel Self Catering Accommodation in Bundoran, Co. Donegal. There are a few T’s and C’s, but nothing that doggie Mums and Dads won’t understand. Call them on 07198 41205 if you are booking with your pet.
Ballydevitt Retreat. One mile from Donegal town. The accommodation sleeps 5 and comprises of 3 cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, free WiFi, living room with log burner, family bathroom and garden. Dogs welcome.

Portbeg Holiday Homes, Bundoran, Donegal. A range of self-catering accommodation on the Wild Atlantic Way, perfect for long strolls along pet-friendly beaches.
Railway Crossing Cottage, located in Drumstevlin just 6 minutes from Donegal town, is a charming railway cottage. Irish Landmark Trust Property – welcomes one dog.
Rathmullen House, Lough Swilly. Room 36 is the spacious pooch friendly room which comes with an additional room for your dog with access to your own garden.
Termon House, near Dungloe, is located in the heart of the Gaeltacht area. Irish Landmark Trust Property – welcomes one dog.
Tory Island Harbour View Hotel. Tory Island Hotel provides the perfect location to leave the everyday hustle and bustle behind.

Cashel House Hotel is truly one of the few Pet Friendly Hotels in Connemara, Ireland. Your pet is more than welcome to stay with you in your bedroom and you will also get to meet ‘Sammy’ who is a long term resident at Cashel House.
Gordon’s Guesthouse in Tynagh. Caroline loves seeing your furry friends. She can also organise horse-riding holidays (not for the dog!).
Inishbofin Island – The Dolphin Hotel. A stunning location on a beautiful island, just 90 minutes from Galway City.
The Ardilaun Hotel, Taylors Hill, Galway. Pet friendly rooms with a patio area that leads onto the garden.

Kerry

The Selkie Restaurant in Tullaghan has a dog friendly snug, so that you can enjoy your meal without leaving your four-legged friend at home.
Devour Cafe in Kinlough is pet friendly. They have a jar of dog treats on the counter and your pet is guaranteed a warm welcome.
Longford
Center Parcs in Longford have dog friendly lodges. You can bring one of two dogs with you, and there are dog friendly walks too.
Mayo
Enniscoe House, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo. Enjoy a Dog Lovers of Enniscoe pet break with a treat box for all the dogs that come to stay at Enniscoe! With long wooded walks that head down to the lake shore why not treat your four legged family members to a holiday in Mayo.
The Lodge at Ashford Castle,Cong, Co. Mayo. The Lodge love pets and treat them like VIPs (Very Important Pets). They are delighted to be able to cater for your four legged member of the family and you can be assured your pet will be treated like royalty from the time they check in until departure.
The Wyatt Hotel in Westport offer a limited offering of Dog Friendly Bedrooms in an isolated area of property. Dog Friendly Bedrooms are subject to a nightly supplement in addition to our standard bedroom rate.
Monaghan

Roscommon
Gleesons in Roscommon town have a number of rooms that are pet friendly.
The Bazaar Coffee Shop in Boyle welcome pets in the lovely garden.
Sligo
Austies Bar and Restaurant, Rosses Point, Sligo welcome well-behaved dogs in the front bar. Booking advisable.
Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone, Sligo have a lovely page on their website to tell you all about Enniscrone and their pet friendly hotel. They are located right on a sandy beach, so perfect for walkies.
Sligo Southern Hotel Sligo town has a limited number of pet friendly rooms available. Contact them directly to book.
The Coachhouse @ Kingsforthouse, Ballintogher. This place looks amazing (I thought I knew everything about Sligo but I’d never heard of this one).
The Swagman Bar, Sligo town, welcome dogs in their beer garden.
Waterford
Salterbridge Gatelodge, located in the glorious Blackwater valley. Irish Landmark Trust Property – one dog allowed.
Westmeath
Glasson Lakehouse in Athlone. Featured in ‘Ireland’s top pet friendly stays for 2022’ by The Irish Independent, The Glasson is one of Ireland’s three best dog friendly hotels.
Wexford

Wicklow
