I love charity shops and with non-essential shops being closed at the moment that also means charity shops are closed too. I know a lot of people are enjoying online shopping for a bit of retail therapy but how about an online shop with a difference?
Thriftify is an online charity shop based in Ireland but they ship worldwide. It’s a great way to bag a bargain and know that you are supporting charities who are struggling at the moment. It’s also a great way to reduce the amount of clothes in landfill. Fast fashion has become a real issue in recent years so this is a way to support sustainable fashion and do your bit for the environment.
From a Sligo point of view I noticed that the St. Vincent de Paul shop in Tubbercurry are members, you can find their Facebook page here to see what they are selling.
Thriftify also sell bric-a-brac, books, video games and even vinyl. The website is here if you want a look. Happy shopping!
