The Irish Gift Guide – Clothing Edition

As the gift guides are proving to be very popular I thought I do one for Irish clothing. Here are some websites I’ve spotted and love, and I thought you might too.

Pretty Bird. If you are into gardening, farming, festivals, or are just looking for gorgeous outdoor wear this is the site for you. They pride themselves on great customer and the 4 F’s – our products are Functional, Fitted, Feminine & Fun too! They don’t just do wellies (although I love the yellow wellies) they also do fantastic jackets, overalls, trousers and more. Shop here: https://prettybird.ie/

Fauna Kids. This site is adorable and it’s not just for kids either, check out the adult sweatshirts. The specialise in handprinted organic cotton clothing, inspired by nature. A lot of the graphics are hand printed in Ireland using Eco-friendly inks as this little online business has its roots in the traditional screen printing process. https://faunakids.ie/

Pure Clothing. A sustainable clothing brand based in the West of Ireland. Their goal is to build a stylish and modern clothing brand using sustainable supply chains and eco-friendly materials. https://www.pureclothing.ie/

Lou and Belle. A gorgeous website with all kinds of everything, including interior, journals, gift boxes and more. As this is a clothing post I’m adding the babywear. From organic cotton zipsuits and playful bibs to pretty knitwear, our baby clothes collection has all the essentials from birth to the 18-month mark. https://louandbelle.com/collections/all-babywear

All Things Fiona Lily. An ethical fashion line with a difference by only using end of line or slightly faulty stock batches from different warehouses across Ireland. All stock is saved from landfill and is handprinted on site. https://allthingsfionalily.com/

Foxford Woollen Mills. Gorgeous products made in County Mayo. You can even visit the mill and see them being made (and visit the café too – it’s amazing!) Choose from Stylish Cashmere, Cosy Lambswool and Soft Merino with their world famous hand-crafted design.

Slugs & Snails. Unisex tights, socks and cotton sets. I love these, they are so cool and colourful. I’m just gutted they don’t make them for adults. https://www.slugsandsnails.ie/

Jerusha Marley. Hand drawn, luxury, wearable art. Based on the majestic West Coast of Ireland, Jerusha creates works of art from her wood cabin studio nestled in amongst the mountains. Made In Italy – Designed in Ireland. https://jerushamarley.com/

Rain + Conker focuses on ethical production- whether this is the standards regarding textile production, the dyes used in production or the social standards within our manufacturing partners and suppliers. Great Designs, functional, safe/ethical, & innovative. https://rainandconker.com/

Mireog take inspiration from the Irish language, folklore and natural world to create bold artistic designs, in the heart of the Deise Gaeltacht in County Waterford. Their designs are hand-printed onto 100% organic Earth positive t-shirts which are manufactured using only wind and solar energy. https://www.mireog.ie/

I hope this guide gives you some inspiration. It’s a great way to support small, independent businesses.
