June is a busy month in Sligo for festivals, food and more. If you are thinking of paying a visit this would be a great time to come.
LilyLolly Craftfest is running until June 22nd. The festival is named after WB’s creative sisters Susan (Lily) and Elizabeth (Lolly). There are exhibitions, craft classes, talks by designers, craft demonstrations and so much more. You can find out more here.
Yeats Day celebrations and although I can’t promise Joanna Lumley this year you are sure to have a wonderful time anyway. There will be poetry, birthday cake and even a boat trip at sunset around the Lake Isle of Innisfree. The celebrations run from the 9th to the 13th of June.
Eat, drink and be merry at the So Sligo Food Festival Tapas Trail. 28 premises are taking part in this fabulous trail. Running on June 10th/11th and 17th/18th and just a fiver a dish so a wonderful chance to try something new. I’m wondering if I can get to them all 😉 Check out the Sligo Food Trail Facebook Page for more updates.
So Sligo Food Festival running from the 15th – 19th of June. Seaweed walks, foodie talks and so much more. Something for all the family. Check out the website for more.
Sing by the sea at the Rosses Point Sea Shanty Festival. Always a great atmosphere and supporting the work of the RNLI. More details here.
