A new thing for me a ‘vlog’ and a blog! I did feel a bit of an eejit filming this but I thought I’d give it a try anyway and see how it goes. Mind you I felt even more of an eejit when I slid down a hill and almost ended up in the river….I’m glad I didn’t film that bit!
Anyway I’d seen a post on Facebook about a place called ‘Troll Wood’ in Leitrim. I’d never heard of it before but it looked like a lovely place so of course I had to check it out. Thanks to Tommy and Dolores for their great directions I was able to find it with ease.
Troll Wood is a beautiful forest walk just past Parkes Castle. I did wonder if I was in the right place for a while until I came to the wooden bridge and the signs warning of a troll!
I didn’t see a troll this time but maybe I will when I go back again. It’s well worth a visit just be aware the walk is quite steep in places and don’t do what I did and try to follow the river stick to the pathway instead. It was quite fun sliding down the hill though 🙂
GRAND!!! Lovely to hear your voice and to see these gorgeous photos! Glad you made it back from Troll Forest!! 😀
Thanks Merilynn. I’m sure if there was a troll he’d have laughed at me sliding down the hill!
Great vlog Val, and I can hear you perfectly over the river. Very professional filming. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
Thanks James 🙂
Your pics are fab, I love woodland walks and my kids would get great craic out of this place 🙂
Thanks Sara 🙂
