I had about twenty minutes to kill today and even though it was pouring with rain I headed to Hazelwood. I’m delighted I did because the bluebells are finally out.
The lake was very misty but had a magical feeling about it.
I know the feathers above are from the swans but I always think white feathers are a sign of angels

On my way dropping off and picking up people yesterday (mums taxi). I had a brief stop at Creevylea Abbey, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim.
The weather wasn’t the best so the sky was a bit dull. These photos are all just taken on the phone….lazy photography again.
It was lovely to see the tulips blooming on the graves. It brightened up the place.

U is for Undiscovered. I found Diarmuid and Grainne’s Nature Trail today. It’s out at the Benbulben Centre, Rathcormac, Sligo. It’s a gravel path through fields with numbered rocks which leads to a lovely little waterfall in a rock formation. I don’t have any information on it, so if anyone can tell me more I’d be delighted to know. It was a lovely walk with just sheep and a couple of rabbits for company. Here are some more photos from my walk.

Today I went along to the Beltra Country Market. It’s always a lovely morning out. Great food and friendly people.
There were Irish dancers entertaining the crowd today, they were excellent. I did take some video but unfortunately can’t upload it so you’ll just have to take my word for it that they were good.
This lady was all ready for St. Patrick’s Day. I think she looks great, I want a hat like that too

On Saturday morning I got to visit the Farmer’s Market. I was really pleased as I haven’t been there for a few weeks and I wanted to check out the two new stalls.
The first new stall is The Pieman, we saw him at the Christmas market in Carrick-on-Shannon and were very impressed. The pies are fantastic, full of quality ingredients and very tasty.
The other new stall is An Caife Bia Slainte who make wonderful cakes in all kinds of lovely flavours. It was a hard job deciding which ones to choose.
Can you believe this is a cake! Wow! I took more cake photos if you want a look.
I treated myself to some beautiful daffodils from Leitrim Flowers. Although their stall wasn’t there Trimilawn Farm Herbs were doing a great job selling some of their flowers and plants as well as their own wonderful selection of herbs and teas.
If you haven’t been to the Sligo Farmer’s Market before it’s well worth a visit. There is such a great selection of products for sale and the atmosphere is brilliant. It’s on every Saturday in the IT Sligo from 9am-1pm.

In between collecting jumble today for our jumble sale (on June 23rd) I had a few minutes to spare so I went down to the outdoor gym in Doorly Park. It’s a great place and it’s free I got distracted though by the bees.
There are so many lovely colourful flowers and they were covered in bees. I love bees, when I was a child I used to stroke them and I never got stung…except for the one time I fell out of a treehouse and landed on one!

On Saturday morning Jono and I went to the Sligo Farmers Market. It’s on every week from 9-12 at the IT Sligo.
There are all kinds of lovely things to buy including plants, herbs, meat, fish, cakes, breads, cheeses, flowers and even bric-a-brac.
I really loved the Leitrim Flowers stall. All their flowers are grown organically and they smell as good as they look.
