Well so much to tell you and where to begin?
Firstly Jono has finished school (yippee!!!) He just has to go back for 4 exams but no more lessons. Are we pleased? Yes we are!!! Although I do feel older then ever that my first born has finished school. To add insult to injury the child benefit wrote and said as he is almost 16 and won’t be at school then the benefit is meant to stop, that was news to me.
Lucy had her prize giving today and got a certificate for good behaviour and conduct, she was most put out as she thought she should have at least been given a pair of shoes! Anyway she just has 3 more days of school and then that’s first year over….it’s flown by really.
I had to go to the docs the other day about my migraines, I’ve been having them for years but they seem to be getting more frequent (my age I guess) anyway for the first time in my life my blood pressure was normal! I put it down to the fact that I am sleeping in a blue room in this new house, I read in a magazine that blue rooms can lower blood pressure.
Yesterday I took mum to see the psychic. I went off to the Forest Park in Boyle while she was there…..but I wasn’t going to pay 4 euro to park for about half an hour so I abandoned the car (not Bertie by the way, mums car Betty) and then lost the bloody thing and ended up running like a mad woman trying to find it. That’ll teach me for being so tight!
Anyway mums reading went well, the psychic told her all kinds of names including my dads….but she said dad is in shock after his illness and isn’t ready to speak just yet, so that was a shame. My nan was giving out for me being called Val and not Valerie….aparently she doesn’t like me being called Val. Too bad really, my nan didn’t have much time for me at all.
I decided to empty my handbag today, I have a habit of chucking coins into the bottom of it….do you know how much I found?? 165 euro! That’s mad, no wonder my bag weighed a tonne and my arms resemble Geoff Capes!
