I went to my first art class today. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try and I really enjoyed…even though my photography skills are way better than my art skills. It’s safe to say Picasso has nothing to worry about. The people are very friendly and the teacher is great at explaining things. I’m looking forward to next weeks class.
After the class I took a drive around the Gleniff Horseshoe. Another ‘wow’ place we have in Sligo. It’s well worth a drive around, when the weather gets better I’m going to walk around it.
Although the snow has gone in most of Sligo, there was still quite a lot of it around Gleniff.
It was a lovely drive out, very atmospheric.
The art class sounds like it was fun and that you enjoyed yourself, which is always a plus. Where was the class held? In Sligo town? I’d like to take some classes having to do with watercolour and, my favourite, still life compositions. I love still lifes (lives?).
I’ve never been to Gleniff Horseshoe, but after reading this and definitely after seeing these photos of yours, I definitely want to. It looks absolutely beautiful and unspoiled. I can ‘get’ the wow factor you felt while there. The photos are beautiful, by the way. Thanks for sharing.
The art class was really good. It was in the Benwisken Centre, they have a lot of various courses going on. I think there is a course in St. Michaels in Sligo town too.
The Gleniff Horseshoe is well worth a drive around, you can feel the history. A very special place.
Great photos. I especially love that last one? Is that a line of houses or some kind of official/office building?
